The Namibian Journal of Environment is on online scientific journal which covers broad environmental areas of ecology, agriculture, forestry, agro-forestry, social science, economics, water and energy, climate change, planning, land use, pollution, strategic and environmental assessments and related fields, as they pertain to Namibia. The journal addresses the sustainable development agenda of the country in its broadest context.
The website uses Open Journal Systems software, an open source software application for managing and publishing scholarly journals. Originally developed and released by PKP in 2001 to improve access to research, it is the most widely used open source journal publishing platform in existence, with over 25,000 journals using it worldwide. All aspects of the publishing process are handled, from manuscript submission, reviewing, and publication.
In addition to website maintenance and management, Jaro Consultancy also does all the layout and design work for each published article.
